Each of the five rod-brooches in this series towers over the shoulder into the space surrounding the body. The rod gives the impression that it wants to fly but is held back by the fabric.
A clamping mechanism on the catch pushes the fabric over and around the rod.
The rods derived from the square, with five increasing curvature radii, are transformed from a line into a spiral.
